‘Jazbaa’ saw a fair first week at the box office. After a decent start of Rs. 15.24 crore (Rs. 152.4 million), it did have a reasonable Monday though the collections did slide on the rest of the weekdays. Still, with Rs. 21.5 crore (Rs. 215 million) coming in the first week, this moderately budgeted film has managed to get into a safe zone.

The film’s first week collections are better than ‘NH10’ (Rs. 20.35 crore (Rs. 203.5 million)), ‘Ek Paheli Leela’ (Rs. 20 crore (Rs. 200 million)), ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ (Rs. 19 crore (Rs. 190 million)) – each of the female centric films released this year. They are slightly lesser than ‘Katti Batti’ (Rs. 22.58 crore (Rs. 225.8 million)) and ‘Alone’ (Rs. 22 crore (Rs. 220 million) though. When compared to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s own films, they are equal to ‘Guzaarish’ (Rs. 21.54 crore (Rs. 215.4 million) but lesser than ‘Action Replayy’ (Rs. 22.51 crore (Rs. 225.1 million) and ‘Raavan’ (Rs. 24.21 crore (Rs. 242.1 million).

The Sanjay Gupta film has entered the second week with a decent number of shows and one waits to see if it manages to touch the Rs. 30 crore (Rs. 300 million) mark.

Hindi dubbed version of ‘Rudhramadevi’ has just not managed to make any impression whatsoever and is set to fold up under the Rs. 3 crore (Rs. 30 million) mark.

Note: All collections as per production and distributor sources
