After the failure of ‘Sarkar 3’, a section of the media and the film fraternity had willingly written off Yami Gautam for the choices of films she was making. Interestingly enough, only ‘Sarkar 3’ happened to be a poor choice but since then, people started criticizing her and said it was as good as over for her.
But then, came ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ (2018) in her life which made a lot of noise in the movies, not just for the performances in the film but also due to the ‘patriotism’ factor and sentiments involved with the film after the horrendous attacks caused by Pakistan in Uri, thereby claiming the lives of many brave Indian soldiers.
The movie simultaneously resulted in a kind of a surgical strike on those critics too who had written Yami off after just one failure. Afterall, the game of critics can sometimes get unnecessarily harsh. But with ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, Yami was successful in proving her mettle once again and got the much deserved and required blockbuster she was looking forward to in her career.
The movie resulted in critical acclaims and film offers. While rejecting many others, she did sign up for Dinesh Vijan’s ‘Bala’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar.
It is to be noted than Ayushmann is enjoying a high at the moment because 2018 has undoubtedly been his best year in the industry with ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Badhaai Ho’. So given Ayushmann’s current position, anyone would love to work with him and given Dinesh Vijan’s vision attached to it, the name behind the blockbuster horror-comedy ‘Stree’, saying no to such a script isn’t really a choice.
The team started shooting for the film only in May 2019 and had a schedule fixed for the month. But seems like certain changes were needed to be made after what happened two days ago which would let Yami Gautam finish her schedule early. Now what can be the reason?
The reason is because of the news that came out two days ago that Yami’s ‘Kaabil’ will be releasing in China on June 5, 2019. Yami is all set to accompany his ‘Kaabil’ co-star, Hrithik Roshan to China for the release of the film and its grand premiere. As per the sources, Yami and Hrithik will be flying together for this much anticipated event and hence to fit this properly, the makers of ‘Bala’ adjusted their schedule so that Yami can finish her schedule before time and can then travel with Hrithik to China.
With ‘Kaabil’ releasing in China and ‘Bala’ coming up soon this year, looks like there are some really interesting things in store for this young and talented actress. We wish her luck and good wishes for her future endeavors.
