Kamal Haasan’s screen presence is really good and his fans will appreciate his performance, however, the opposite applies for his skills as a director. Among the star cast, Shekhar Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Waheeda Rahman, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat are strictly mediocre. Unfortunately, the film has no substance of a good spy thriller and is therefore a meaningless sequel, with barely any novelty in the story (Kamal Hasaan). The number of flashbacks confuse the viewers throughout the film, which boast of excellent production values such as photography, action and locations. Though being technically a very polished film, ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ misses the mark!
