Enter any North Indian wedding, especially in Delhi NCR zone, and it is impossible not to hear Haryanvi chartbuster “Hatt Ja Tau”. The song has lived on for many years now and its popularity is hard to beat. Now upcoming release ‘Veerey Ki Wedding’ features this song in well and what makes it further special is the fact that it is picturised on none other Haryanvi singer Sapna Chaudhary.

“Producers of the film, Rajat Bakshi and Pramod Gomber, have strong Delhi and Haryana connect and they understand the flavor and milieu of the region. Since Veerey Ki Wedding is arriving this festive season, it was prudent that a celebratory number was added to the narrative. It had to reflect the rustic setting of the situation in the film and they felt that ‘Hatt Ja Tau’ would be just the right ingredient to the fun-n-frolic mood,” says a close associate.

What further made the entire proposition exciting was the coming in of Sapna Chaudhary who is also an ex-Big Boss contestant.

“Sapna enjoys very huge popularity up North and her videos have seen by millions. Her stage performances are a riot too and in the local regions she is quite a celebrity,” our source adds, “Once the song was locked in and Sapna came on board, it was the matter of putting it all together in a manner that went well with the flow of the film and also brought her to the fore. The results are there to be seen.”

Rendered by Sunidhi Chauhan, the song is written by Dr. Devendra Kafir, Ramkesh Jiwanpurwala and Chandan Bakshi with Jaidev Kumar as the composer. Ever since the video of the song has been out, it has been trending quite high on the charts with over five million views already. With bigger numbers expected in days to come, the song has emerged as a huge success for this Aashu Trikha directed film that is slated to release all over on 2 March.
