‘Uunchai’ has been an eagerly-awaited film, especially when it came to light that it will be directed by Sooraj Barjatya and that it would have star-studded cast, comprising Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Parineeti Chopra. Last month, on the occasion of Friendship Day, the makers unvelied the first look of the film, which had shown us three silhouettes of people climbing on Everest and it made fans and the industry excited.
Today, Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the second poster of ‘Uunchai’, where we can see Bachchan, Kher and Irani enjoying the life, friendship and adventure by sitting together on a rock, while having a meal. The three of them are seen wearing mountaineering hoodie jackets along with monkey caps. The background view of mountains is quite eye-catching.
According to reports, ‘Uunchai’ is a story of three friends, who take a trek to the Everest Base Camp. How a simple trek turns into an emotional, personal and spiritual journey as they struggle with their physical abilities because of their old age and finally discover the true meaning of freedom forms the crux of the film.
Written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, in association with Boundless Media and Mahaveer Jain Films, ‘Uunchai’ is going to hit the theatres on November 11, 2022.
