Trailer of Prabhas-starrer Adipurush is visually stunning; makers hold a grand trailer launch which was witnessed by moviegoers in 70 countries

‘Adipurush’, one of the most eagerly awaited film of the year, scripted history with the release of its trailer yesterday. Following the release of the new poster featuring Prabhas, the makers organized a special event to launch the trailer of Om Raut’s magnum opus and it was screened not just in India but also in seventy other countries, which made it truly a global event. The trailer launch was attended by director Om Raut, producer Bhushan Kumar, lyricist and writer Manoj Muntashir, distributor Anil Thadani and the lead star cast, that is, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage.

‘Adipurush’ is based on the epic Ramayana and tells the story of how Lord Rama fought the evil king Raavan after the latter kidnapped his wife Sita.

The unveiling of the trailer was unique because it took place simultaneously in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, the UK, Egypt, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Japan, etc.

At the trailer launch event, T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar said, “My father’s dream is going to come true through this film. It is a very emotional moment for me. When Om called me during the lockdown and told me that he wished to make a film on the Ramayana, it seemed like an indication from my father and hence, I immediately said yes to this film.”

Kriti Sanon, who is essaying role of Janaki stated, “I am very emotional right now. It is not just a film but more than a film for all of us. I would like to thank Om for choosing me for the role of Janaki. I have played this character with all my heart, devotion and honesty.”

Director Om Raut commented, “We all consider ourselves fortunate that we got the opportunity to portray the saga of Lord Shri Ram’s Adipurush on screen. Ram Leela has been going on in our country from many years and we dedicate this film of ours to all the characters who have been playing the roles in the Ram Leela.”

Prabhas kept his speech brief by saying, “Thank You Om, Thank you for the film. Jai Shree Ram.”

Talking about the trailer, it looks visually polished and gives goosebumps. The background score by Ajay-Atul is well placed and the looks of the lead star cast leaves a solid impression.

‘Adipurush’ releases on June 16 in theatres across the globe in 2D and 3D formats and in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
