‘RRR’ (2022), famed actor Ram Charan’s upcoming film directed by Shankar Shanmugham has a title. Before finalizing the title, the makers reportedly toyed with many titles for the film, including ‘Adhikari’, ‘Senani’, ‘Sethupathi’, ‘CEO’ and ‘Nayakadu’. As per reports, they have locked in one title for the film. The latest we heard is that the makers of the film, which is tentatively titled ‘RC 15’ have finalized ‘C.E.O: Chief Electoral Officer’ as the official title for the film. They are planning to unveil the first look poster and title of the film on March 27, which also marks the actor Ram Charan’s birthday. The film has Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in lead roles.
Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the mega budget film is said to be a larger-than-life political thriller and will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The film has Anjali, S.J. Suryah and Jayaram playing important roles. The makers have also revealed that the film will release only in January 2024.
While National Award-winning cinematographer Tirru, along with acclaimed cinematographer R. Rathnavelu, is handling the camera, S. Thaman is composing the music for the film.
Talking about Shankar Shanmugham, the director is currently shooting for his much delayed film ‘Indian 2’, which is the sequel to his film ‘Indian’ (1996). The Vigilante action drama film has an ensemble cast of Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash and Vennela Kishore. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and background score for the film, which is looking for a Diwali 2023 release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
