The much-awaited sports drama ‘Jersey’ has finally sealed its release date. The Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer film is now gearing up for a theatrical release on April 14, 2022. All the makers and leading stars took to their social media and announced the news.
‘Jersey’ was supposed to release on December 31, 2021, but due to the second wave of Covid-19, it got postponed. The trailer was released two months ago and has garnered 64 million views already and it proved that fans are eagerly waiting for the film. The songs of the film “Mehram”, “Maiyya Mainu”, “Baliye Re” and “Jind Meriye” have also earned immense responses from audiences.
‘Jersey’ will now be clashing with ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, as both the films are going to release on the same date. ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ has also a staller star cast such as Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj.
‘Jersey’ is the Hindi remake of the Telugu namesake, which starred Nani and released in 2019. The Hindi remake is also directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Aman Gill.
