Taylor Swift to make her directorial debut with Oscar winning production house Searchlight Pictures

Taylor Swift, the highest paid and most loved singer around the world, has finally got ready to make her big feature film directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures, the production company that won Oscars for ‘The Shape Of Water’ (2017) and ‘Nomanland’ (2020).

David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, presidents of Searchlight, shared their excitement to Variety and said, “It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”

Taylor became the first solo artist to be honoured with MTV VMAs for her work on ‘The Man’ (2020) and ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ (2021) music albums as a director. Swift is also the first artist to win Grammy Awards eleven times for her music.

The multi-talented artist, who is a singer, songwriter and music video director has dabbled in multiple genres like pop, country, indie-folk, rock music and has created a top-notch reputation in her career. Even her 14-minute short film ‘All Too Well’ made its grand premieres at Tribeca Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival this year and amazed the audiences with her directing talent.

Surely it will be quite thrilling to watch the singer as a feature film director now after such achievements.
