Shweta Basu Prasad’s short film Retake to be screened at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and Kerala Short Film Festival

Shweta Basu Prasad, who made her acting debut in ‘Makdee’ (2002) as a child actress and has a successful career in TV and film industry, debuted as a documentary director with ‘Roots’ (2016). She directed a short film recently ‘Retake’ featuring Danish Hussain, Anupam Kher and Zarina Wahab. A few weeks back, it came to light that ‘Retake’ has been shortlisted for the New York Indian Film Festival.

And today, the actress took to social media to announce the short film’s premiere at the 13th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and the Kerala Short Film Festival, both of which will take place today in Delhi and Munnar respectively.

While sharing the news, she wrote, “Friends in Delhi and Munnar please catch #retakeshortfilm today at #dadasahebphalkefilmfestival and #keralashortfilmfestival today!”

‘Retake’ is jointly produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal and Shweta Basu Prasad.
