Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall have been at odds for years, with Cattrall publicly stating that she would never return to the franchise. However, she will make a surprise appearance in the upcoming second season of ‘And Just Like That’ (2021), albeit in a limited capacity.
In a new interview with The New Yorker, Parker said, “We felt like it had been made clear by her that this was not a character she wanted to revisit.”
Parker also addressed the rumours that she and Cattrall are feuding, saying that she would never speak poorly of her former colleague.
“It’s the weirdest thing, to be told we’re in a catfight,” she said. “I would never speak poorly about Kim. I just wouldn’t.”
Kim’s return to ‘And Just Like That’ is being kept under wraps, but it is thought that she will appear in a phone call with Carrie Bradshaw. Evan Handler, who plays Harry Goldenblatt on the show, said that Cattrall filmed her scenes “in a garage somewhere with no contact with anybody.”
“The only place I have to welcome her is into my living room when it airs on television”, he said.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the ‘Sex And The City’ premiere, which aired in 1998.
‘And Just Like That Season 2′ will return to HBO Max on June 22, 2023.
