Many are celebrating this game-changing and welcome move for writers where Kanika Dhillon, the writer of ‘Haseen Dillruba’ is getting top billing on the poster.
Currently gearing up for ‘Haseen Dillruba’, (where she had the top billing on the trailer as well) many are lauding this move that should open the door for many more new writers on the block and set the norm.
Sharing her excitement, Kanika said, “There is nothing more important than being acknowledged for your work as a writer. It is about time that we give screenwriters their due credit, and I want to thank Netflix for starting this very positive trend which was long due. This should be normalised and every writer should be given top billing for the work they do”.

Directed by Vinil Mathew and bankrolled by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, ‘Haseen Dillruba’ is all set to premiere on Netflix on the 2nd July, 2021.
