In today’s time, if one needs to be an actor in the film industry, acting skills and potential aren’t the only thing you need. One needs to look presentable and most importantly fit for the camera so that the fit body not just adds as a source of glamour but also helps the actor to lead a disciplined life amidst the gruelling work schedule.
However, what is to be kept in mind is the fact that this passion and dedication to workout for muscles and lead a fit life wasn’t really present in the yesteryear stars of Bollywood. In fact ironically, they lacked discipline when it came to things like leading a fit life and arriving on sets on time. Due to this, films would at times take even 2 years to be completed due to the lackadaisical approach of the stars earlier. But then of course, that is then and this is now.
Today, if one holds that kind of a lazy attitude, he or she just cannot survive in the industry. Salman Khan brought this kind of revolution in the film industry and made it almost compulsory to have a fit physique if one has a ‘Bollywood’ dream in mind. Even today, he has maintained a fantastic physique which is quite difficult to maintain at the age of 53.
The ‘Bharat’ actor burst into the scene and worked on his physique right from the early days but it was his bold shirtless act in the song “Oh Oh Jane Jaana” from ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’ (1998) which turned him into an overnight bona-fide rage among the youth.
Since then he became the quintessential well-built ‘macho’ and ‘hero’ and became a fitness icon. Even today’s young stars like Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff and Sidharth Malhotra always maintain that no matter how fit their body looks, it can never be as good as Salman’s.
Salman too had never looked back and even today at the age of 53, his workout regime and fitness videos inspire everyone, from the young Bollywood stars to even that section of the youth who have just started working out.
Salman posted a similar video of him working on his legs on Instagram which grabbed a lot of attention and garnered a lot of appreciation.
Well, as one can see, that’s some serious weightlifting with the legs and rightfully so and henceforth the perfect ‘inspirational’ video for people to hit the gym right away.
