NCPA Summer Fiesta this year will host the first screening of Salim Arif’s latest play for children, ‘Nuclear Sher’. Adapted from the fables of Panchtantra, ‘Nuclear Sher’ is a show for children as well as adults. “If you can’t reign in a lion or a nuclear bomb, it is better not to create.” – this is the message that the show deduces from Panchatantra stories. Taking a few stories, Gulzar Saab has scripted them in poetic form for the stage, giving them his unique stamp and making them relevant to contemporary situations. Addressed to the King’s children, the stories are primarily about statecraft and are popular throughout the world.

Conceived, designed and directed by Salim Arif, ‘Nuclear Sher’ is a show that brings Panchtantra in an innovative form for the audience. Scripted by Gulzar, choregraphy by Sanjeev and Khyaati Mehta, music by Viraaj and Amandeep and produced By Lubna Salim.

The show will be held on the 24th May 2015 at Experimental Theatre, NCPA (India) at 6.30pm
