Back in the 2000s, songs like “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai”, “Labon Ko”, “Tu Jo Nahin”, “Bin Tere” were quite popular among listeners. These songs not only make us remember the good old days, but also the charming Shiney Ahuja as well.

Shiney Ahuja gave back-to-back memorable films in the mid-2000s with films like ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ (2005), ‘Gangster: A Love Story’ (2006), ‘Woh Lamhe’ (2006), ‘Life…In A Metro’ (2007) and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ (2007). Not only was he famous for romancing with his co-stars, but also created magic in action thriller genres as well.

Besides grabbing the audience’s attention, his outstanding performances in ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ and ‘Gangster’ made him win Filmfare Awards and IIFA Awards. But even after receiving much recognition, the actor is currently living far away from the industry. Shiney was last seen in ‘Welcome Back’ in 2015, not as the lead actor though.

But do you know how his such lavish career started falling down? Back in 2009, both his personal life and career got ruined after he was accused of raping, detaining and threating his 19-year-old maid. The allegations were so extreme that the nation couldn’t believe it. According to reports, although the maid later retracted her statement, the judge sentenced Shiney for 7 years of imprisonment in 2011. As soon as this news came out, Ahuja’s career began to fall down and he was forgotten in a flash.

Later Shiney’s wife Anupam Pandey fought for him through thick and thin and got him bail. The couple has a daughter named Arishiya.
