‘Dil Ka Rishta’ (2003) stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Rakhi Gulzar. It also features a special appearance by Priyanshu Chatterjee.
Although released in the early 2000s, the romantic film has all the hallmarks of a classic ’90s Bollywood movie, including beautiful music by Nadeem-Shravan, with “Dil Churale” and “Dil Ka Rishta” becoming instant classics. The strong cast, and a heartwarming story make it more special.
Arjun Rampal and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan both give excellent performances, with Rampal in particular shining as the conflicted Jai. Priyanshu Chatterjee is also memorable in his brief role as Raj.
The film is more tragic than romantic, but it is also sensitive and thought-provoking. Overall, ‘Dil Ka Rishta’ is a well-made, mostly underrated and enjoyable film that is sure to please fans of the cinema of the ’90s who want to revisit an emotional drama.
