Directed by Yash Chouhaan, ‘Ramwati’ (1991) stars Upasana Singh, Avtar Gill, Kader Khan and Anupam Kher.

Kader Khan who plays Natwarlal, is a con artist who is hired by the villain, Devendra Singh, to kidnap Ramwati (Upasana Singh), the daughter of a wealthy businessman. However, Natwarlal falls in love with Ramwati and helps her escape from Devendra Singh.

As usual, Kader Khan’s performance was praised by the audience. He was always particularly noted for his comic timing and his perfect ability to deliver witty lines with panache.

Here are some of Kader Khan’s most memorable lines from ‘Ramwati’:

“Main hoon Natwarlal, dhokhebaaz aur dhandebaz.” (I am Natwarlal, the cheat and the con artist.)

“Mere paas aadmi hai, paisa hai, aur akal hai.” (I have men, money, and brains.)

“Jab tak dhande mein dhoti hai, tab tak naachne mein masti hai.” (As long as there is a dhoti in the business, there is fun in dancing.)

“Pyaar mohabbat se nahi, dhokha dhande se hota hai.” (Love does not happen with love, it happens with cheating and conning.)

Kader Khan died on December 1, 2018 at the age of 81.
