Queenpins directed by Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly trailer is out now

Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, husband and wife and the creative duo that wrote and directed ‘Beneath the Harvest Sky’ (2013) have joined forces to bring a unique scam to the big screen titled ‘Queenpins’. The trailer of the film has just dropped and Pullapilly, who is of Indian ethnicity is thrilled about its prospective response in India.

Starring Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, the upcoming movie is about two women who start a multi-million dollar coupon scam and go from coping with the pressure to make ends meet to flying in a private jet with their spoils.

Inspired by true events, the coupon heist film features Paul Walter Hauser in the role of a Loss Prevention Officer accompanied by U.S. Postal Inspector played by Vince Vaughn. The two are shown teaming up to apprehend the titular ‘Queenpins’ for masterminding a one-of-kind scam. Gaudet and Pullapilly directorial also stars Joel McHale, Bebe Rexha, and Stephen Root.

The writer and director duo says, “We know that India is in a phase that has seen the depiction of some of the best scams over the OTT platforms and the success of these series has been phenomenal. We take that as our welcome mat into the Indian entertainment market. ‘Queenpins’ takes couponing to new heights and we are hopeful that it will be the kind of story that sticks with the country. We are thrilled about the response to its trailer.”

‘Queenpins’ is slated to release in September worldwide.
