Priyanka Chopra’s wax statue unveiled at Madame Tussauds, London!

The Hindi film industry has seen many actresses in the past who have made a big name for themselves in India. From starting out as someone raw and new to eventually becoming a popular and celebrated actress in India, many women have lived this particular journey and achieved this feat so far.

But perhaps the only actress in the history of Indian cinema to have made a name for herself and garner equal amount fame and appreciation from the western part of the world as well is Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka started her journey in Bollywood in the early 2000s and after years of toil, hard work and having tasted success here in India, Priyanka finally decided moved to Hollywood to eventually become the global star that she is today. Her series, ‘Quantico’ has played a major role in making her a celebrated face in the US and the rest of the world. She is one of the very few actresses who has helped to put India on the global map in the field of art and cinema.

So it is quite natural that whenever any personality earns that amount of fame and popularity, several wax statue museums cash in on their popularity and make wax statues of these celebrities in their museums to enhance its appeal and demand as a tourist spot.

One such wax statue museum is the Madame Tussauds Museum in London and Singapore. Priyanka’s wax statue was already there at the Singapore museum but it was only yesterday that Priyanka’s wax statue was unveiled at the London museum, where having a wax statue is generally considered a bigger achievement compared to the Singapore one. Although Priyanka wasn’t present herself at the event, the unveiling happened with a lot of grandeur.

Priyanka had been working with the Madame Tussauds team since 2018 on this statue for which the first meeting happened at her New York City apartment last year and finally after one year, the wax statue is ready and out.

It surely is a matter of extreme pride for all Indians that another actor’s statue, especially a female actor’s statue has made it to Madame Tussauds, London. Some of the other big names from Bollywood to have a wax statue there are Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
