Anu Malik wanted Priyanka Chopra to sing “Babli Badmaash” for ‘Shootout at Wadala’ but she was under a contract with Universal Music. After singing her first film song “Chaoro (Lori)” in ‘Mary Kom’, she has sung the title track of ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ alongside Farhan Akhtar. Composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy (SEL), the track has been picturised on the entire starcast.

Says Priyanka Chopra, “There were plenty of reasons for me to lend my voice to this song and film. Farhan and I sharing vocals, the title track of the film, pictures on the whole cast, a superbly fun song and SEL’s genius. I had to say yes! Farhan has always been a keen supporter and someone who has pushed me to take my music career seriously, so it was great to be able to sing this with him. Needless to say, as with everything on this film, recording this song was super fun. It’s kinda surreal to see the visualisation of my voice not just on myself but also on Anushka and Shefali.”

‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ releases on June 5, 2015.
