Poster Boys Trailer Review

‘Poster Boys’, an official remake of the Marathi hit ‘Poshter Boyz’, marks actor Shreyas Talpade’s foray into direction. While the actor-director essays one of the three principal characters in the film, the other two are played by Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Vinay Sharma (Bobby Deol), a Hindi teacher, Arjun Singh (Shreyas Talpade), a loan recovery agent and Jaagavar Chaudhary (Sunny Deol), a retired army officer find their pictures on a poster promoting vasectomy and soon, they find their world turning upside down.

The character of Jaagavar, played by Sunny, seems to be on over-the-top version of several characters he has played on the screen. Bobby, seen on the big screen after a long time, plays Vinay, a teacher who teaches Hindi in a school. Vinay’s love for Hindi can be seen in the pedant way he speaks the language in. That often results in hilarious situations as people who are conversing with him cannot understand a word of what he is saying. Shreyas, who has displayed his flair for comedy in so many films over the years, seems to be in fine form as well.

All the three actors are fine performers in their own right but it seems, this time, it is Bobby Deol who will walk away with a large chunk of the glory. The actor, who has shown his mettle in several films, looks way younger than his age and seems to be in good control of his role here. The film is a remake of a much successful film and with the trailer truing out to be quite funny, one expects the film to deliver the laughs when it hits theatres.

Dharmendra, Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Sunny Sounds Pvt.Ltd. & Affluence Movies presents Poster Boys – a light hearted comedy-drama starring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade. Directed by Shreyas Talpade, the film is slated to release on September 8, 2017.
