The thrilling trailer of Rani Mukerji’s film ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway’ is out and it is intriguing and interesting from the word go. Coming from makers like Nikkhil Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Zee Studios, it guarantees an out-of-league story with thrill, suspense and drama in adequate doses.

It’s a story about a happy parent-child couple whose life goes terribly wrong when their kids end up being trapped by the local guardians, and there is no way to free the kids from them. The film is based in Norway and inspired by real-life incidents.

This might just be Rani Mukerji’s best performance to date. For this, she has donned a very different avatar and challenges herself with a thriller/emotions role, which she hasn’t done before. The film also stars talented Bengali actor Anirban Bhattacharya as the male lead, who is making his Hindi debut with the film. Jim Sarbh, who has made a mark in the film and web space, will seen this timr as a lawyer.

Director Ashima Chibber, who worked as an assistant director on ‘Chak De India’ (2007) and ‘Rockstar’ (2011) and also directed ‘Mere Dad Ki Marruti’ (2013), is back as a film director after ten years with ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway’. Since she is new to this genre, it would be interesting to see how she does justice to this hard-hitting story.

The film also stars Neena Gupta and is written by Sameer Satija, Ashima Chibber and Rahul Handa. The music of the film is composed by Amit Trivedi.
