Mickey 17: Robert Pattinson’s first look in the sci-fi will give you an adrenaline rush

Robert Pattinson is known for his chocolate boy characters in romantic genre. However, this year, he impressed in a different way as he played the intense character of Batman in the film ‘The Batman’ (2022). And now, Pattinson is back with another powerful character in the upcoming sci-fi ‘Mickey 17’. The film is directed by Bong Joon-Ho, who won an Oscar for his South Korean thriller drama ‘Parasite’ (2019).

Today, Warner Bros. Pictures dropped a short teaser of ‘Mickey 17’, where we can see Pattinson lying down inside in some kind of chamber machine. As the camera zooms slowly towards him, Robert swiftly open his eyes, being upside down. The few-seconds look will literally make you feel like he’s staring into your soul and will make you feel creepy from inside.

‘Mickey 17’ is based on the author Edward Ashton’s latest book, Mickey 7, which was published this year in February. The film is currently under production and it is also co-produced and written by Bong Joon-Ho.

Till now, the makers revealed that Robert is playing the role of a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact.

‘Mickey 17’ also stars Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Holliday Grainger and is all set to release on March 29, 2024.
