While Evelyn Sharma had a release in ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’ earlier this month, her ‘Ishqedarriyaan’ co-star Mahaakshay will be seen on the big screen two years after his last outing in ‘Enemmy’. However, the one thing both of them would be undergoing is an image makeover.

Evelyn, who was seen as a glamorous, NRI girl in most of her earlier films (‘Issaq’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Yaariyan’, ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’) will be seen playing the role of a demure, school teacher. It would be interesting to see how Evelyn, who hails from Germany, fits into this role.

Mahaakshay have had five Hindi releases in his career that kick started way back in 2008. In his first film ‘Jimmy’, Mahaakshay (then known as Mimoh) was portrayed as an action hero and that tag has stuck with him since then. Even though he has been a part of a comic caper (‘Loot’), a horror film (‘Haunted 3D’), he was seen indulging in some heavy duty action in all these films. In this film, the actor essays the role of Agam, a successful businessman who falls in love with Luvleen, the character played by Evelyn. He will be seen in an out and out romantic avatar, starkly different from the kind of roles he has played in the past.

‘Ishqedarriyaan’, produced by Rajesh Banga and directed by V.K Prakash, hits the theatres on May 29, 2015.
