KK passes away after live performance in Kolkata

A heartbreaking news shook the music industry as well as fans. Singer KK was performing at Nazrul Mancha, Kolkata, for Gurudas College’s fest on 30th May evening, when he took ill and was admitted to CMRI hospital where he passed away. At the young age of 53, he left us.

‘Pal’ in 1999 was his first album and then he gave Bollywood many chartbusters. Originally known as Krishnakumar Kunnath, his hits include “Tadap Tadap”, “Tune Maari Entriyaan” and many more.

Netizens and colleagues have been updating their social media with condolences. “I hear singer KK just passed away. GOD what is really happening!!?? I mean WHAT IS HAPPENING. One of the nicest humans kk sir was. Gone too soon at 53.Beyond shocked. RIP sir”, singer Rahul Vaidya tweeted. “Extremely sad and shocked to know of the sad demise of KK. What a loss! Om Shanti”, wrote Akshay Kumar.

He has sung songs in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada and Bengali, among others.
