‘Kesariya’ from Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahmāstra emerges as the most streamed Indian movie song on Spotify

The romantic song “Kesariya” from Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy action-adventure film ‘Brahmāstra: Part 1- Shiva’ (2022), starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy, has become one of the biggest chartbuster songs of all time.

According to the reports, “Kesariya” has achieved the most streamed Indian movie song tag of all time on the music platform Spotify.

The song is the most-played movie song on the app, with over 290 million listeners and it continues to remain on the top of the list.

Arijit Singh sung the song, along with Nikhita Gandhi. While Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics, Pritam composed the music. As soon as it released, “Kesariya” became an instant sensation.

Talking about the YouTube record, the song’s original version has garnered close to 450 million views in the past eight months since it debuted on the Sony Music India Channel in July 2022.

Sharing the news on their Twitter handle, Sony Music captioned, “ “Kesariya tera ishq hai piya”…feels all the more magical today ‘cause we have got two reasons to celebrate! #Kesariya becomes #1 on @spotifyindia on Ranbir-Alia’s wedding anniversary.”
