Karan Johar’s upcoming movie on C. Sankaran Nair biopic

Karan Johar announced his next production venture is based on the life of C. Sankaran Nair, the former President of Indian National Congress and member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council.

The film is inspired from real life events and adapted from the book ‘The Case That Shook the Empire’, written by Raghu Palat and his wife Pushpa Palat. It’s likely to be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.

Karan Johar shared a post on Twitter and said, “Extremely excited and honoured to be bringing the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, a historic man to the big screens. Directed by @karanstyagi”. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will be presenting the movie. The makers are yet to announce the cast of the movie.

Apart from this, Karan Johar is producing a number of lined up films, ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’, ‘Finding Anamika’, ‘Dostana 2’, ‘Brahmāstra’, ‘Sooriyavanshi’ and ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’. He will be directing his next film, ‘Takht’ starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
