The ’60s famous English pop-rock band, ‘The Beatles’ lead vocalist, John Lennon’s previously unreleased song “Radio Peace” has been sold at auction in Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen on Tuesday, 28th September 2021.

The 33-minute tape was recorded by four teenagers in January, 1970, just few months before ‘The Beatles’ announced to officially break the band. The tape also has a recording of an interview of John Lennon with his wife Yoko Ono.

“Radio Peace” was recorded as a theme song for a radio station, said by one of the tape’s owners, Karsten Hoejen. The auction house, Bruun Rasmussen estimated that the price could fetch between $32,000- $50,000 (£23,000-£36,000) and is likely to be kept in a museum. It has been sold for $58,300 (£43,000).

The auction house has also put the original school newspaper along with 23 photographs on sale.
