Jai Mummy Di Quick Movie Review

The lack of chemistry between the lead pair does not help to move this insipid script forward. Despite having two strong female actors such as Poonam Dhillon and Supriya Pathak, their characters are poorly written and their roles are more annoying than enjoyable. Sunny Singh and Sonnalli Seygall also struggle for different reasons as he tries his level best with the available material whereas she fails to deliver a respectable performance. Alok Nath is the saving grace. Director Navjot Gulati gets a few marks for getting the Delhi milieu right but there is not enough meat to keep the show going. Good music creates an entertaining feel and that’s about it. Such comedies require crisper writing, sharper characters and witty dialogues. The rivalry between the two veterans does not seem worthy enough and the romance seems forced. Luv Ranjan may need to check his success formula one more time as this one really tests one’s patience!
