Set in the backdrop of 2020 lockdown, director Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Bheed’ saw its cinematic release on March 24. With this film, Sinha brought the magic of black and white cinema in this modern effect filled world.
Anubhav Sinha not only highlighted the struggles the migrant workers faced but through Rajkummar Rao, who won the Best Actor Award recently, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana, Pankaj Kapur, Dia Mirza and others showed how humanity came together in the darkest hours to overcome the toughest times. Ahead of the release, the makers also announced a special walkathon to honour the nine lakh steps walked by migrant workers to reach their homes.
Owning to the great reviews the film received, Anubhav Sinha organized an intimate dinner and get together for team ‘Bheed’ including the lead actor Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Kapur, Dia Mirza, Kritika Kamra, Varinder Saxena, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kunal Kemmu, Soha Ali Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Aditya Srivastava, Ratna Pathak Shah and many more.
