Harshvardhan Rane steps into the action zone with Bejoy Nambiar’s Taish

While it is common for actresses to work in the South film industry and then step into Bollywood, not many male actors have made this transition from South to Mumbai. Thus, one was pleasantly surprised to see Harshvardhan Rane making his film debut with a true blue Bollywood romance in the form of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ (2016) after working in the Telugu film industry for a couple of years. The actor, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, had done a popular TV show (‘Left Right Left’) before he landed a role in a Telugu film.

After a promising debut in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, the actor had to wait for two and a half years for another film release (‘Paltan’). The war-drama, directed by J.P Dutta, could not make much of an impression at the box-office and did not really help in propelling his career forward. However, things are finally looking up for the actor as he is all set to be seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Taish’.

The film, which is currently being filmed in London, is a revenge drama and is a multi-starrer which also features Pulkit Samrat, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Kriti Kharbanda, Jim Sarbh and Zoa Morani in principal roles. Interestingly, Harshvardhan was supposed to do a film with Bejoy a couple of years back – the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Agni Natchathiram’ – which did not get made. ‘Taish’ is said to have a lot of action scenes and the actor will be seen performing a bunch of death defying stunts. The actor has the physique and personality of an action hero and it would be interesting to see him seeing in an out-and-out action avatar in the film.
