Gully Boy rapper MC Tod Fod passes away, Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi pay tribute

Rapper Dharmesh Parmar aka MC Tod Fod, who rose to fame from the film ‘Gully Boy’ (2019), passed away on Sunday, March 20 at the age of 24. He was a member of the multilingual hip-hop group named, Swadesi Movement. The group announced the tragic news on social media yesterday by sharing Tod Fod’s last Gujrati rap.

Swadesi Movement wrote a warm note on Instagram and paid tribute to the late artist, “It was with this night that @todfod_ performed his last gig at Swadesi Mela. You had to be there to experience it, his thrill his love for playing live music. You are never forgotten, you will always live through with your music.”

As per The Indian Express, MC Tod Fod passed away due to a pre-existing heart condition. Revealing the news, Azadi Records’ co-founder, Uday Kapur said to the Channel, “He was playing football with his Swadesi crew members at a place near Nashik when he collapsed. Right now, his friends and family are completely shell-shocked.” MC Tod Fod sung the song “India 91” in the film ‘Gully Boy’, which featured Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Alia Bhatt and is directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Ranveer, Siddhant, Zoya all are deeply shocked and heart broken currently and mourned on social media respectively.
