Gal Gadot, who debuted as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe and made her first appearance in ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ (2016), recently talked about reprising the role in an interview with ComicBook.com. While promoting her upcoming film ‘Heart Of Stone’, she revealed that she has heard that DC is developing ‘Wonder Woman 3’.

“I love portraying Wonder Woman”, she said. “It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.”

After making her debut as a pivotal role, DC gave her two standalone films, ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017) and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ (2020). Both the films were directed by Patty Jenkins. Last year Jenkins parted ways from Warner Bros. Hence probably she won’t be signed for ‘Wonder Woman 3’, as per reports. This news shortly came out before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the DC Studio.

In 2022, Jenkins shared her thoughts in a long post on Twitter, “I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.”

Currently James Gunn is all set to start the shooting for ‘Superman: Legacy’ and as per reports, it’s going to have a 2025 release. Gal Gadot’s ‘Heart Of Stone’, meanwhile, will be premiered on August 11 on Netflix.
