Farhan Akhtar has been finalized to play the lead role in Nikhil Advani’s next production, ‘Lucknow Central’. The film, set in a jail with music at its core, will be directed by Nikhil’s assistant Ranjit Tiwari.
Farhan will be seen playing a prisoner in the movie. A.R. Rahman has been roped in to score the music. The movie is said to be inspired by a true story of convicts sentenced to life imprisonment in the Lucknow Central Jail. It is expected to go on the floors by October-end in Mumbai after Farhan completes his forthcoming release, ‘Rock On 2’.
The leading heroine and other casting works are still on and once everything is finalized, an official announcement will be made. ‘Lucknow Central’ will jointly be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Nikhil Advani’s production house.
