Fanney Khan Quick Movie Review

With a dream in his eyes and a tune in his heart, Anil Kapoor is a father to a teenage daughter who has musical aspirations, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a gorgeous singer with Rajkummar Rao as her love interest. Anil Kapoor’s performance is the only positive aspect in this movie, which contains a weak and illogical script, a poor screenplay and below average dialogues. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao have smaller roles and have no idea what they are doing. Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Pihu Sand doesn’t do justice to her role of appealing as innocent and lovable, and fails to gain sympathy from viewers. Although the film is a musical, not a single song is worth mentioning. The intentions of Anil Kapoor are to kidnap Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for ransom but all of a sudden, he uses the latter to make her daughter a top singer through some reality show. The baseless hatred of the daughter towards her most caring father is far from entertaining and it actually lacks the emotional connection; and does not establish the bonding between them. Based on ‘Everybody’s Famous!’ (2000), it is neither funny nor inspirational!
