Music director, Rajesh Roshan has blatantly lifted the “mukhda” of “Dil Tu Hi Baata” (‘Krrish 3’) from an obscure European track called “I Need Love”, from the album ‘Close To Seven’ (1992) by German singer Sandra (wife of Michael Cretu, producer behind the successful Enigma project).

The romantic track which was picturized on Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut, was sung by Zubeen Garg and Alisha Chinai, with lyrics by Sameer Anjaan. The part rendered by Alisha Chinai at the start of the song is exactly the main tune of “I Need Love” – from 1:06 to 1:19 (watch clip below).

Rajesh Roshan, who started his career as a music director in 1974 with ‘Kunwara Baap’ has delivered many solid hits over the last 40 years but has also been accussed of plagiarism in many instances. After working with music legends like Mehmood, Kishore Kumar and superstars like Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna, Rajesh Roshan has carved a place for himself in the industry, even though he has been tagged as keeping the best tunes for his brother, Rakesh Roshan.

Rajesh Roshan’s next release is ‘Kaabil’, whose trailer was released two days ago.
