Ellen DeGeneres draws to an end of her iconic talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show with eyes full of tears

Ellen Lee DeGeneres, who is a comedian, producer, actress and TV personality, rose to fame from her sitcom ‘Ellen’ from 1994 to 1998. Her stand-up career begun in the early ’80s and later she appeared in ‘The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson’ in 1986. DeGeneres has also starred in notable movies like ‘Mr. Wrong’ (1996), ‘EDtv’ (1999) and ‘The Love Letter’ (1999). She has also lent her voice for Disney’s famous animated movies like ‘Finding Nemo’ (2003) and ‘Finding Dory’ (2016).

DeGeneres’ daytime TV variety comedy talk show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ is one of the most iconic talk shows in the US, where celebrities from all over the world have made appearances. Debuted in 2003, the show is produced by Telepictures and created By Ellen, was running for almost 19 years now.

Recently, Ellen has declared her retirement from the iconic show after 19 seasons and over 3200 episodes and attending almost 4000 guests. According to The Hollywood Reporter, even though she has prepared her final week episode in late April, the finality still hadn’t set in, as she said in an interview with them. Ellen shared, “I won’t really feel it until September, when I’d normally go back in production.”

For the past few days, Ellen has shared a number of posts on Twitter regarding her retirement. She also mentioned how Oprah Winfrey, who was also the host of another iconic talk show, ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ (1986-2011), knows what it feels like to end a long running talk show. Yesterday, Ellen shared a video, emerged with few clips of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ from season 1 to the final episode.

‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ got aired its final episode today, May 26 with its very first guest, Jennifer Aniston, Ellen’s wife, Portia de Rossi along with Pink, who wrote the Emmy Award-winning show’s theme song, seated in the first row. DeGeneres was seen eyes full of tears and walked out to her beloved audiences one last time taking her final bow down.
