Distributor and producer Shiladitya Bora turns director with Wife Not Wife

Shiladitya Bora, CEO of Drishyam Films, has forayed into direction with a short film intriguingly titled Wife Not Wife. Having distributed and produced award-winning films such as Court, Masaan and Dhanak, Shiladitya, crosses the final frontier by directing his first film, a comedy-drama. Starring Pankaj Tripathi of Gangs of Wasseypur and Masaan fame, Anuritta K Jha and Gbolabo Lucas, the detective story which offers some interesting twists has been penned by Greek screenwriter Manolis Froudarakis. Wife Not Wife has been produced by Shilpi Agarwal, and was shot on five locations in Mumbai. Scored by music producer Kanishk Seth, with Pooja Gupte (Rukh, Crossing Bridges) behind the lens, the film will be set to make its world premiere by September 2016. A director, producer, distributor and a true-blue film buff, Shiladitya is known for establishing PVR’s Director’s Rare, India’s leading indie release banner. At the helm of Drishyam Films, Shiladitya is working on high quality indie cinema which travels far and wide across the world yet also engages with audiences within the country.
