Disney and BTS are getting into business for the first time with striking projects

K-pop boy band, BTS is on fire these days, as they recently celebrated their 9th anniversary on June 13. Their youngest member, Jungkook has also dedicated a solo number “My You” on the occasion of their anniversary to their massive fans. Not only this, but Jungkook has also recently made a striking collab with singer, Charlie Puth “Left And Right” for the first time. The track has garnered 100 million views with a week and also trending on social media.

Now, Walt Disney has announced another exciting news today that BTS’ studio home, HYBE and Disney have joined hands and will come up with three exclusive projects on all Disney+ platforms around the world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, HYBE and Disney have revealed a new global content partnership that will produce five projects and three of them will feature BTS.

Disney’s APAC (Asia-Pacific Region) head, Jessica Kam-Engle shared, “With unprecedented access to a vast library of music and footage over the past nine years, the series will feature the daily lives, thoughts and plans of BTS members, as they prepare for their second chapter. We are thrilled to be collaborating with HYBE to showcase their original content created with powerful artist IP on our global streaming services including Disney+ platforms.”

Out of three projects, one of them, starring BTS titled, ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LOS ANGELES’, which was held last year and another one starring BTS is a documentary, which features BTS’ history form their debut to their present titled, ‘BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR’.

Both the projects are slated to stream on all Disney+ platforms since 2023.
