Alia Bhatt has been sharing several sneak-peaks from her upcoming dark-comedy, ‘Darlings’ for a very long time, which made fans super excited every day. Now after long wait, Netflix has released the trailer of ‘Darlings’.

Alia Bhatt’s character as Badru in the trailer is already giving major thrills. This is the first time Alia is seen in a dark-comedy genre. The teaser shows a romantic bonding between Hamza (Vijay Varma) and Badru (Alia Bhatt), but as it kept going on, it shows some gripping suspense in the story, which will definitely make you want more.

On the other hand, Shefali Shah seems brilliantly portrayed her character as Badru’s mother. Both Alia and Shefali together are giving a major quirky chills. The mother-daughter relationship seems very strong when they are seen visiting a police station together to report a murder.

Although Vijay Varma is seen in pivotal role, his character seems as crucial as others. The teaser shows after marriage Hamza has become a totally changed person and not that caring person anymore. In Badru’s flashbacks, we can see how Hamza used to commit domestic violence on Badru and beat her to death everyday and for that Badru seems to take revenge on Hamza along with her mother (Shefali Shah) and torture him in different ways like mixing some kind of medicine in his milk, injecting anesthesia, hitting a head shot on Hamza with a pan, etc.

Alia Bhatt has also shared the trailer on her social media and shared that she is super excited as ‘Darlings’ is her first film as a producer, “My first film as a producer. So excited nervous thrilled emotional to share it with you!!!! DARLINGS TRAILER OUT NOW.”

Starring Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah and Roshan Mathew and directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, ‘Darlings’ is coming on August 5, 2022 only on Netflix.
