Bollywood lauds Team India after World Cup win against Pakistan!

The ICC Cricket World Cup is without any doubt the biggest cricketing event in the game of cricket. Although it’s said that ‘Test cricket is the ultimate form of the game’, the importance of winning the World Cup has been there since time immemorial. The tournament happens only once in four years and hence the winning team gets to hold the tag of ‘World Champions’ for four years. Winning the World Cup has been the ultimate dream of many cricketing greats, the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and many more and both have managed to do it in their respective careers.

Henceforth in an event as magnanimous as this, if it’s a match between the two rival countries, India and Pakistan, the intensity and the game in itself only gets bigger. Whenever India plays Pakistan in a World Cup Fixture, the entire country comes to a standstill to feel the intensity of the match and hence yesterday’s game between India and Pakistan at the ICC World Cup 2019 was no different.

From Indian politicians to Bollywood celebrities, everyone kept themselves free to witness this epic encounter. In fact, Ranveer Singh and Saif Ali Khan are such big cricketing buffs that they were present at the ground itself at Old Trafford to cheer Team India.

India went onto dominate Pakistan in the game as usual thereby registering a record of 7-0 against Pakistan. The entire nation celebrated the win and Bollywood too enjoyed its Sunday celebrating the Indian win. As soon as India won, congratulatory messages started coming in from all corners of the film industry thereby praising Team India. From Salman Khan, Suniel Shetty, Sonu Sood to Ayushmann Khurrana, Anil Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, everyone remained glued to their tv sets to enjoy this epic game of cricket.

It seems like the cricketing fever has gripped Bollywood pretty well and given the way Team India is performing at the World stage where it matters the most, it won’t be surprising to see half of the industry turn up at Lord’s Cricket Ground to watch the final if India qualifies for it.
