Back in 2003, when Hollywood pop star J.Lo’s (Jennifer Lopez) song “Jenny From The Block” came out featuring actor Ben Affleck along with her in it, fans were literally gushing over them and the song became an instant hit as they were officially dating each other since 2002. But then in 2004, when J.Lo and Ben were about to get married, they broke up and the wedding was called off.
J.Lo and Ben met for the first time on the set of rom-com movie ‘Gigli’ in 2001 and from 2002 to 2004 they have dated for three years. Back then in an interview about their break up Ben said, “I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love. We were excited and maybe too accessible.”
Even J.Lo also said in Graham Norton’s show during a guest appearance, “I love Ben, he’s a great guy, but it was a lot for both of us to be under that type of siege for two years straight. We were on the cover of every magazine, every week, it was just a weird thing. Our relationship, I think, did suffer because of that. That’s not the only reason. But I think it definitely played a part in the dynamic of our relationship.” After their break up, J.Lo married singer Marc Anthony in the same year 2004 and Ben Affleck married to actress Jennifer Garner in 2005.
Now in 2021, the admired couple Bennifer has risen again. According to recent news, J.Lo has called off her wedding with her fiance of three years, former baseball shortstop Alex Rodrigues. Even Affleck has also got separated with Jennifer Garner in 2018 and also ended his relationship with actress Ana De Armas. J.Lo shared a photo of her kissing Ben Affleck in a bikini on her 52nd birthday in July and confirmed their dating officially.
It’s been seven months the couple is dating again and finally Ben has opened up about their re-coupling in an interview with WSJ and said, “I can say that it’s definitely beautiful to me. And, you know, one of the things I really value across all facets of my life now is that it was handled in a way that reflected that. And it is a good story. It’s a great story. And, you know, maybe one day I’ll tell it. I’ll write it all out and then I’ll light it on fire.”
Since their dating was confirmed, the couple is seen spending time together many times on social media. Recently, they were seen spending time together in Malibu, California on Sunday 31st October with their children and also Ben’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner was also seen with them.
