Not only as the former US president, but now Barack Obama is also creating history in the entertainment world. Though he is just a newcomer in the industry, yet Obama won the Emmy Award for his narration work for Netflix’s documentary, ‘Our Great National Parks’ (2022), on September 3, 2022.

The five-episodic documentary, ‘Our Great National Parks’, which features several national parks from around the world like Patagonia, Chile, Tsavo and Kenya, has also been produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground.

Not long ago, Obama has won two Grammy Awards for his audiobook of two memories, ‘The Audacity Of Hope’ and ‘A Promised Land’. Barack Obama is the second US president to win an Emmy. Before him, Dwight D. Eisenhower had achieved a special Emmy Award in 1956.

Seems like Barack Obama is not far away from becoming an EGOT. If Obama wins an Oscar and a Tony Award now, he would become the 18th person to be an EGOT, which refers as Emmy, Grammy, Oscars and Tony. Only 17 people have achieved EGOT till date.
