Director Apoorva Lakhia, best known for ‘Ek Ajnabee’ (2005) and ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ (2007), has acquired the rights to a chapter from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book, India’s Most Fearless – 3 and is preparing to present a valiant tale of the Indian Army on the big screen.

The chapter from the book focuses on the conflict between the Indian and Chinese troops that took place in the Galwan Valley region in 2020.

Suresh Nair will write the story and screenplay for the film adaptation of the book in collaboration with Chintan Gandhi, while Chintan Shah will write the dialogues.

“The Galwan event is an episode that saw the Indian army suffer horrific losses, but they also inflicted a memorable wound on a cunning foe”, said Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.

“We are thrilled that Apoorva Lakhia will be handling our narrative of the incident, which is the sole first-person account of what actually transpired and the great human aspect of the war, for a movie that will, in our opinion, be honourable to those who fought, perished and lived to tell the tale,” the duo further added.
