Ajay Devgn announces a new film on the Indian army and the release date of Maidaan

Ajay Devgn FFilms has announced a co-production with Select Media Holdings LLP and it will be based on the sacrifice of 20 Indian army men who fought the Chinese army. Showcasing the strength of the Indian Army during the recent Galwan Valley incident, the cast and other crew are under finalisation.

‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’, an Abhishek Dudhaiya directorial and which is also a co-production with Select Media Holdings LLP, starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra and Ammy Virk, will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar. It is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak war in 1971 and the release date is yet to be announced.

The much talked Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Maidaan’, featuring Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh, will release on 13 August, 2021. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018) fame, it will showcase the journey of one of the finest coaches that emerged from India, the one who put India on the global map. Inspired from an incredible true story, it is one of the most awaited films of Ajay Devgn.

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively.
